Forget Windows 8, Server 2012 is nice

I've played around with Windows 8 a little but over the last couple of weeks I've been playing with Server 2012. I'm really digging the performance of 2012. It takes a lot of work to get it running like a desktop system with DirectX, audio and such but its wicked fast.

So far I haven't seen anything from Windows 8 that impresses me. I will try it out though once it is released

I did like their fast boot time and all but one thing did bother me when I tried beta/developer version. It installed most of my drivers correctly but my crossfire didn't work, only single card was detected in my laptop. as for server 2012, I never knew there was an OS with that name lol.

I am buying the MSDN 199.99 package, it ensures all of my rigs will have everything they need and more.
