yes Chris told me the processor costs them $125 more than a 2281 so we would be looking at like $700 or so for a 256GB version.

heh.. I just grabbed two drives, hoping to use these for future raid storage . 256gb is pretty awesome, decent amount of space for super fast storage at 1gbps. I hope for a machine full of these drives, two for storage raid and two for OS raid, that would be the dream lol.

will update and post benchmark results when drives arrive, thanks again to Chris and Jon's review on this and Chris bringing this drive to North America.

SLC S301 x2 should be arriving sometime tomorrow, hopefully early in the afternoon so I could test it . UPS shipping to canada only a week with tracking, good stuff lol. I will be testing drives in raid 0 with my alienware laptop HM67 chipset though. using HDTune, CDM and AD SSD to test JBOD and in Raid0 for both empty drives and when OS is installed.

for my laptop I think it uses OROM version 10, 11.5 OROM modded bios will not work on m18x and it was tested and proven not to work, drives not recognized. will test using 11.6 raid RST drivers too.

If you are looking for TRIM you need Z77 not just the OROM
