Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up and hold on because we’re about to take a ride with the ESR Wireless Car Charger featuring ESR’s “CryoBoost™ Technology”. Now, before we dive into this, let me tell you one thing: this is no ordinary charger, ESR has managed to refine what seems to be a fairly standard seeming car charger.
DESIGN
First things first, let’s talk about the design. The ESR Wireless Car Charger boasts a simplistic yet refined design, its combination of matt and glossy black finish and the compact size, blend seamlessly with the interior of just about any car.
However, what really sets this charger apart from its competitors is its CryoBoost™ technology. Now, when I first hear the term “CryoBoost,” I can’t help but feel a bit skeptical and cringe. It seems like another marketing ploy to make something appear better than it actually is. But credit should be given to ESR for including this feature, as it is a welcome addition, especially in a car charger’s design.
For some time now, I’ve been experiencing the frustrating “Charging will resume when iPhone returns to normal temperature” message whenever I use most fast chargers in my car. It could be because my phone mount exposes the device to direct sunlight while charging. However, since using the ESR Wireless Car Charger with CryoBoost™, that frustrating message has completely disappeared.
Another great design feature is its Ultra-Strong Magnet design. I know everyone claims this but i can confidently say I can tell the difference even when compared to other more expensive chargers that I have used.
QUALITY
Lastly, in terms of quality, the materials used in the construction of this charger, it is made of plastic, which does have its limitations. However, even in high-temperature environments, the design has proven to be pretty durable and resistant to scratches, scuffs, and general wear. This resilience should contribute to maintaining its like new appearance over time. Not much to say other than good job. I do have to say for a very saturated market, I am very impressed with ESRs quality.
COMPATABILITY
The ESR Wireless Car Charger works by default with all iPhone 14/13/12 models, MagSafe and ESRs HaloLock™ cases, and for everyone else ESR offers the HaloLock™ Universal Ring that can be applied to just about any phone with wireless charging capabilities.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the ESR Wireless Car Charger with CryoBoost™ is an exceptional car charger every aspect. From its construction and durable materials to its cooling and compatibility, ESR has left no room for improvement. Except for maybe including the actual power adapter. I know many might already have one, but it would be great to have it included by default.
Now, it’s not perfect and I am sure ESR will find a way to improve its design even further. But having said that, this is now probably my favorite car charger, earning it our Editors’ Choice Award.
